Luckily, CBS returned to its broadcasting ventures and sold the company to employees who basically rebuilt the company from the ground up. Slowly and with assurance the company rebuilt its reputation in the amplifier and guitar industry. T

For many years guitar legend Eric Clapton was a die hard Gibson guitar fan. That was until the company discontinued his favorite model. Clapton then discovered love in the land of Fender guitars.

Out of his collaborations with the company arose the introduction of the Eric Clapton Signature Strat and Clapton has not turned back since.
